Six years of showing up for Thika — no fanfare, just results

Orbitsecho started small and stayed intentionally local.

What Orbitsecho actually does, in plain language

A local business that handles services, appointments, and products for residents and small operators in Thika.

Orbitsecho is a small, owner-run business based on Kenyatta Avenue in Thika. We opened in 2018 and have since completed work for more than four hundred individual customers across Thika Town, Landless Estate, Thika West, and the surrounding peri-urban areas. What we do, in plain terms: we take bookings for specific services, we carry a curated range of products suited to everyday life in this part of Kenya, and we run a tight appointment system so people aren't wasting half a day waiting for something simple. We serve individuals, households, and small businesses that need a dependable local supplier — not a national chain that treats Thika as an afterthought. Our team is made up of five full-time staff, all of whom live within twenty kilometres of the premises. That proximity is deliberate. When your team lives in the same town as your customers, accountability is not an abstract concept — it's the neighbour you see at the market on Saturday morning. The slate-professional aesthetic you'll notice in our space reflects the way we work: clean, organised, and without unnecessary clutter.

How we work — and what we can't promise

Honest about the process, clear about the limits.

Our work process is straightforward: you contact us, we discuss what you need, we give you a clear cost and timeline before anything starts, and we deliver against what we agreed. If a job will take three days, we say three days — not two days with an optimistic outlook. We've found that residents in Thika, like anyone, would rather have an honest timeline than a short one that slips. We review our service range regularly and we drop lines we can't execute reliably rather than stretch ourselves thin. There are things we genuinely cannot help with: large-scale installations, specialist certifications, or anything that sits outside the defined scope of our operation. When that happens, we say so directly and do our best to point you somewhere useful. Results in any service business also depend on factors outside our control — supplier delivery windows, weather, customer preparation — and we're upfront about those dependencies from the first conversation. What we can promise is that we'll communicate throughout, we won't go quiet when things get complicated, and we'll stand behind the work we sign off on.

By the numbers

A few figures that say something real about where we stand.

Founded 2018

Six years of operating in Thika, through two economic cycles, a global pandemic, and three rounds of road construction on Kenyatta Avenue. We're still here.

400+ customers served

More than four hundred individuals and small businesses have come through our door since we opened. Over sixty percent have returned more than once — that repeat rate is the metric we care about most.

5 local team members

Every person on our team lives locally. That's not a HR policy — it's a deliberate choice that keeps us grounded in the community we serve.
